Since April 2017.
After starting as frontend developer and building an internal frontend in Angular 1.x for roughly a year, Zalando started to move to AWS and we built a common toolset for other developers to use. In this part I built the React-based frontend (here are screenshots to give you an idea). When this was “done” I started implementing features in the Clojure microservices.
In between I helped a colleague build Zappr, a Github integration Zalando uses to enforce reviews on pull requests.
In the third year I worked on a project that somewhat resembled AWS CloudTrail. The API part was written in Clojure and we used Python for workers and data migration tasks.
From 2008 to 2013 I studied Media Computer Science at Dresden University of Technology. I was—and still am—interested in everything web-related, so I attended courses about Security & Cryptography, Databases/Information Retrieval, Software Design and Media Design. My thesis was about user assistance in composite information visualizations or mashups. I finished with a grade of 1.6.
11 months from 2007 to 2008 at Caritas Jugendstreetwork, Graz. I coded their CRM of sorts during this time.
